Vulnerability completely depends on location of hit, of course. The frontal turret armor has the highest concentration of armor and greatest slope angle. I don't think there's ever been a frontal turret penetration of an Abrams by anything...ever. You'd probably have to talk to someone who works at Aberdeen who's job is to blow up Abrams to get the definitive answer, though...proabably classified though.

All Abrams lost in Iraq have been flank/aft/top hits or IEDs/mines underneath. Nothing can survive 5 or more 155mm Arty rounds exploding underneath it. Flank turret penetration have also happened.

Fun Fact: The tanks in this clip that are shooting gunnery tables are from my unit; 2-12 Cav out of Ft. Bliss.

Those tanks have a black kangaroo emblem on the turret,why the hell would the aussies need main battle tanks when there on a island that is logistically impossible to conquer.

I find it so hard to take programs like this seriously. The narrator's voice and delivery, the horrible inaccuracies, all make it so hard to credit anything new it claims.

some interesting facts in this document, like the one about the Abrahams not being produced anymore, but aimed at US audiences it lacks objectivity.
one of it is that the M1 as never been confronted to anything newer than T-62, UK's challengers, germany Leopards, russian T-90, south korea XK2 and France's leclerc are more than a match for it.
In fact the french tested there main 120 mm CN120-26 gun on a similar armor plate that of the front armor of the M1 and at 2000 m the shell got throught.
This is not to say the Leclerc is a better tank but the use of "greatest tank in the world"in this video is incorrect
