I don't think their commercial worked quite like it should have, from a marketing standpoint I mean. They should have done it on a spot of river that wouldn't sweep the thing away. Oh well, cool none-the-less.

they got lucky. the back end of the truck was floating and they had no control at one point.. the vehicle could have easily swayed enough to submerge the snorkel and ruin the engine(water is non compressible). also a snorkel alone will not prevent damage to your vehicle. water can ruin electronics and contaminate the oils in your motor, trans, differentials.
