very cool documentary. a lot of my family has m.s. so this kind of research holds a lot of excitement for me. i do hope that we live to see these kinds of implants and whatnot become more polished and refined.

on a side note, that arm-ear was freaking me the FUCK out the whole time.

Personally i can't wait. We're on the verge of so many advances, just get the monkey out of the white house and get some decent funding and direction to our science departments and we have a veritable avalanche of biological and digital technology at our feet.

If you think about it, 'cyborg tech' is just hte next step. our bodies are just vehicles of our mind, absolute slaves of it. But as amazing as they are, they're imperfect. supplementary technology would only help us.

That "locked in" kid at about 30 minutes was really cool. I think it's great that people are finding a way for him to communicate and at least get part of his life back(his family). I would go insane not being able to communicate and move.
