Thanks for the post PorridgeGun.

This is one of the best clips for showing why many qualified analysts believe that Bush is RETARDED.

It's not like he's just at a loss for words, heck we all do that now and then.

Bush is at a loss for connected, logical thought. He's like a little kid who is trying to explain something he doesn't understand, and muddles forward anyways, hoping it all comes clear in the end, somehow.

The frightening thing is that it's not super complicated stuff he mixes up. It's simple shit, that you know he shouldn't be mixing up.

I think the people who put him in power (not voters) are just having a laugh at everyone. They can put an idiot in for Prez, and there's sweet fuck all anyone can do about it.

The reality is giving a speech is extremely difficult and takes quite a bit of skill. I'm sure anyone here who's had a course on public speaking knows that you really have to multi-task keeping track of time, hand gestures, speech habits like "um", trying to be extremely careful in your word choice when answering questions.

Point is, just because you're not good at public speaking, doesn't imply you'd be a bad politician (if there are even any good ones), nor does someone who's good at giving a speech imply they'd be a good politician.

It's funny really, simplicity is the mark of genius and elegance. I'm not saying Bush has either, but I bet if you actually sat down to talk to him he's probably a pretty decent guy...

One thing is for sure, I bet there are few people on spiked who couldn't do half as well as Bush does without serious training and experience. Hell, most people can't even give a 2 minute presentation in class without feeling anxious and completely messing it all up.

You have to admit though, Bush's speeches are rather entertaining listening for those quotes. :)
