some of the things he said were a bit out there, not much of a public speaker either, but i do agree with one thing he said.

The idea of using the money thats currently being used for the "War on drugs" to rehibilitate people would certainly be a better idea. if people were allowed to smoke marijuana freely, i would hope they create a law against driving under the influence. I dont drive when im high just because it scared me, and i have a hard time concentrating on the road without my thoughts drifting off.

Just because alcohol is legal doesn't make it legal to drink and drive. It should be the same for all substances that can affect your ability to operate heavy machinery. If I take a bunch of oxycontin, go driving and kill someone while doing it - I broke the law. Same should go for all drugs. Though I've never actually heard of anyone solely on pot wrecking a car and hurting anyone.

regardless of who you vote for - please, just vote!

But he's high on my list of candidates right now. Lots can change before election time. Read up, and do some homework on your choices.

The reason Bush got in office in the first place is because not everyone voted.

You cant fight drugs as you cant fight terror, anyway most cash spent on those "war" are usually taken to somewere else.

So in the end they say there a war on drug to keep all the soccer moms happy, but it just smoke, there nothing to it, and the money spent to "stop" the drugs is used for more personnal gains.

I don't agree. Certain drugs such as cocaine and heroin cannot ever be legal, it's as simple as that. The so called "Needle Park" in Switzerland, where they legalized the use of heroin at a certain park, was a total failure.
With Marijuana, I do smoke it very often (just hit my bong couple minutes ago :D), but I still think it should be illegal. I have seen a lot of weak minded friends fail because of it.

Pacifist, WTF? Are you serious? Because people abuse a drug and then their life "fails" we should outlaw that substance? Bullshit. And what about those who can use marijuana successfully? They have to go to fucking jail over it because there are jerks in the world who can't get their shit together? That makes no sense to me. People who can't seem to succeed and also abuse drugs are not victims of drug abuse. They chose it.

Most people talk about the free world they would love to live in, and in the same breath they tell you about all the laws we need to have. If I want to "waste" my life using marijuana, who has the authority to stop me? No one, it's my life.
