Its kinda sad how war has changed over the years

First it was fist for fist, club for club, sword for sword

Then they created the Bow and Arrow and war became a little less personal

Then came the Gun and war became even less personal

Now we have nukes, robots, missles

If you think about it new technology to me has caused more violence in the world and mindless killing compared to back then when war meant you were no doubt going to lose maybe half of you army in one battle

Now we just sit in a room, press a button, and blow a nation off the face of the Earth

There is too much padding in this show. The presenter likes the sound of his (annoying) voice too much.

Last time I checked, smarter weapons mean less deaths. In WWII, people could care less about civilian casualties. You need to take out an enemy factory? Alright, then you have to level half the city too, along with anyone in it. In ancient times, you were supposed to kill all the civilians or take them as slave. You took over a city, killed all the men, and put women and children into slavery. Sure, war is far from civilized, and it never will be civilized, but at least we are trying to limit the casualties. 50 years ago, a war this size wouldn't kill 100,000 civilians, it would 1 million. War is still brutal, but it is a far cry away from days long gone.
