I'm not sure what the point of this was...I guess if someone is caught on a telephone pole...but then why did he just cut him down?

The man was practicing pole top rescue. The dummy was hanging from a safety catch that is part of the working lanyard (the belt arround his waist and pole.) The man had to secure the dummy to a line brake attached to his belt. He shold have been holding onto the brake as he cut the rope. That way the weight of the dummy woud have been on his harness and could have been lowered slowly via the brake. But this idiot cut the line thenleaned over his center of gravity and grabed the falling dummys rope and its curtains from there. He'll be picking splinters out of his stomach for weeks! OUCH!
