Meh, Gun control in my opinion will not help keep guns out of criminals hands. Drugs are illegal but how easy is it to get your hands on them? It is point less to set up laws to ban guns. Although I will never have a gun in my home I have a blast shooting my friends high powered rifle in the mountains. Not hunting just shooting at old printers and shit like that.

Swords FTW. lol

Japan averages about 60 gun-related deaths a year. Yes, the WHOLE country of Japan. Meanwhile the United States averages 30,000 gun-related deaths a year.

And that's not f*ckin all: In Japan, the rate of CHILD gun deaths averages ZERO per year.

And ever since Canada imposed those strict gun control laws like 10(?) years ago, their gun death rates nationwide plummeted like 70%.

So unless the anti-gun control retards can explain why we have about 50,000% MORE gun homicides here than Japan, they need to farking stop whining about gun-control.

canada isnt full of american retards. nor is japan.

i love my guns.
i have rifles. and am looking into getting a few handguns.
my rifles stay loaded 24/7. as should EVERY GUN.
you cant protect yourself with an unloaded gun.
or with a gun with a trigger lock.

i think everybody should have a gun.
some jerkoff isnt about to start robbing a bank, resturant,or go postal in a school,or government building if there is a 80% chance of death.

and even if they do... then its suicide so fuck em anyways.

i got my first shotgun when i was 7 years old.
i never shot anybody with it. nor have i had an accidental discharge. im 29.

so its either EVERYBODY has a gun. or NOBODY.
not even cops.

if the public isnt armed then the police dont need to be either.

this crap ass country need more pulic in its government not more government in its public.

Don't bring out statistics about Canada's firearms regulations. Canada's anti-gun lobby (financed by the liberal party BTW so at the same time they do public attacks against the conservative party in return) have totally misinterpretated the statistics to make conclusions Statistics Canada itself didn't agreed with. The real fact is that the new Canadian firearms regulations is an extremely expensive smokescreen made by the Liberal party to give an impression of safety to ignorant citizens while the money could've had much better effect if invested in police force and health care.

The whole gun-control thing in Canada is a totally disgusting way for cheap politicians to gain votes by screwing up the legal gun owners to divert the population's attention from all the gangster wannabes and nutcases who are still running around free in the country without doing anything about it.

And the gun control laws adopted in England and Australia about 10 years ago turned out to give totally catastrophic results.

Well no shit Japan has less chile homicides, they have less children! The US has twice the population and three times the birthrate of japan. In fact, in Japan, there are sometimes classes only attended by ONE chile, whereas in the US, there are 25-35 kids per class.

The argument is that "people need guns for protection, but who the fuck are they so scared of, especially living in "white suburbia..." Even outside these areas the police SHOULD be able to do their jobs and keep down crime."

This kinda argument only works in a "doveloped" country tho... (I hate this fucking term.)

In South Africa, even with our electric fencing, security gaurds and dogs, we sleep with a gun in the bedside drawer- but this is because we truly HAVE to.

Therefore, different places will need different gun regulation. Its impossible to apply "first world" regulation in a "third world" country.

I realise however America is BIG, and so each state should enforce gun regulations accordingly.

Im my country, where the threat of burglary/death is very real, it helps alot of people to sleep.

Id shoot any fuck trying to get into my house to cause shit. Not nice to say, but TIA, (this is africa.) :)

I think the fact retards are part of the species ... race lines and national lines mean absolutely nothing I would think responsible people cross all imagined lines.

People commenting here against guns will have to realise if your opinion is fielded by media attention and the fact the world is consistently stacking the argument I wouldent trust your gun control converage and set down to basic logic.

Perhaps the only thing the nra or gun clubs have brought to our country is more people who are trained in safe handeling and effective responsible use.. while the criminals of the world and the bodygurds your rich and well off carry probably arent reported or counted in these gun related death statistics.

think logicly.. what would you rather have to protect yourself. if that is indeed important.

Bush has been the worst president in US history. This government definetly deserves to be overthrown, so if the pro-gun crowd are dedicated to the principles reiteratedin this show then why haven't they overthrown Bush. That's because gun owners are more likely to support Bush, belong to radical right state-militias, and are salivating at the idea of living in a Theocracy run by a cruel despot. If strict gun-control laws were implemented let's say 8 years ago it could've made a difference, and the Virginia Tech massacre could possibly have been avoided.

Australia is going ok, and we have gun control.
Sure there are some retards out there who shoots everything up, however, the stats say that countries with strict guns laws are better off.

However, i think police should have better guns but that's another story.

Anyway, I don't live in America, so I don't really care what happens. If they want guns then good for them.

Akron man with concealed gun shoots at robbers
Posted by Donna J. Miller June 01, 2007

A man legally carrying a concealed handgun shot at an armed robber in Akron.
Four teenagers approached 24-year-old Raphael L. Owens at about 11:30 Wednesday night near the corner of Elmore Avenue and South Portage Path. One pointed a chrome-plated gun at Owens and demanded his cell phone. Owens gave up the phone.
The robber then asked, "what else do you have?"
Owens tried to run, but the robber grabbed his arm. Owens broke free, pulled out his own gun and fired one shot, missing the teens, who took off running.
They ran south on Elmore while Owens ran toward a pay phone. When he got to Grand Avenue at West Exchange Street, he saw the suspects up the street, at Grand and South Portage Path. Again, one teen leveled a gun at him. Again, Owens fired a shot and missed.
The suspects fled as Owens called police from the pay phone at West Exchange and Dodge Avenue.

The above is one of the estimated 2 million times a year that Americans defend themselves and loved ones from violent criminals though the use of firearms.

We have received them as a fair inheritance from our worthy ancestors. They purchased them for us with toil and danger and expense of treasure and blood. It will bring a mark of everlasting infamy on the present generation – enlightened as it is – if we should suffer them to be wrested from us by violence without a struggle, or to be cheated out of them by the artifices of designing men." -Samuel Adams”

I'm not against the possession of guns, but the problem isn't the people who own the guns, it's the people around them. Usually, there are exceptions of course, people keep their guns and almost take care of them as they would for a child, but some don't even store them properly. Anyone in the house could take a gun and do something horrible by accident. So no I'm not against the possession of handguns, but taking precautions for more safety, yes.
