Right, I'm sure rapists will be deterred by the possibility of guns, because rapists are rational, thinking people. Same applies to serial killers.

This show is just shoveling bullshit on itself anymore. There were a few good ones, but this is really the bottom of the barrell.

teheasterferret it's not a planned thing, rape, BUT they WOULD be discouraged. Luckily for me I have never been raped BUT that doesn't mean I haven't been in a situation like that, which luckily for me friends came and stopped ANYTHING from happening.
There would be a major drop in rapes and violence against women if men knew they were up against competition that could actually fight back.
And Serial killers: it is premeditated in a sense, so they would less likely attack if there was a possibility they could die themselves

Akron man with concealed gun shoots at robbers

A man legally carrying a concealed handgun shot at an armed robber in Akron.
Four teenagers approached 24-year-old Raphael L. Owens at about 11:30 Wednesday night near the corner of Elmore Avenue and South Portage Path. One pointed a chrome-plated gun at Owens and demanded his cell phone. Owens gave up the phone.
The robber then asked, "what else do you have?"
Owens tried to run, but the robber grabbed his arm. Owens broke free, pulled out his own gun and fired one shot, missing the teens, who took off running.
They ran south on Elmore while Owens ran toward a pay phone. When he got to Grand Avenue at West Exchange Street, he saw the suspects up the street, at Grand and South Portage Path. Again, one teen leveled a gun at him. Again, Owens fired a shot and missed.
The suspects fled as Owens called police from the pay phone at West Exchange and Dodge Avenue.

The above is one of the estimated 2 million times a year that Americans defend themselves and loved ones from violent criminals though the use of firearms.

Might I refer you to John Locke's Second Treatises of Civil Government.

Even if a rapists or serial killer were not stopped by reason from attacking an armed victim. The multiple small pieces of metal passing through their vital organs faster than the speed of sound is sure as hell going to. Not only does the victim's use of firearm stop them from being a victim but every other victim that would have suffered had the fucking shit bag succeeded.

If you don't wanna carry a firearm for self defense that's the great thing about LIBERTY, you don't have to! However, when you tread on me and try and ban me from doing so then you're enforcing tyranny; free men don't take well to tyrants!

I don't think anyone will ever be able to convince me that your civil liberties depend on lethal arms. There are perfectly effective non-lethal means for a woman to protect herself. My ex-girlfriend was raped, and while I wish she had a tazer or stun gun, I don't think she would have been any better off having killed someone and then had to live with that later.

The overlying problem is that because there are more guns in the US than in the middle east and Africa combined, we really can't outlaw them anymore. No argument there.

That doesn't mean it was ever a good idea. There are ways to fight the government besides guns, I promise. When you have guns available to everyone, you empower the reckless, subhuman filth far more than the average person. Why? Because it takes an average person quite a lot to dehumanize (what you need to do before you kill them) someone, even someone who is committing a crime. A career criminal on the other hand is basically an animal and has no problem killing.

You don't see police using stun guns in a shoot out with armed bank robbers do you?

I'm sorry your to immature or lazy to take responsibility for your own defense and that of your girlfriends. As for me and my house, we will be armed and well armed at that.
