They did that in every episode. They never did anything different. They'd fight on the ground and have an even battle. Then rita would make the monster grow. The rangers would use the individual robots and not even fight. Then they'd combine and get their asses kicked and then they'd just turn into titanis and blow the monster into dust. All kids knew the show was stupid but we couldn't help but be glued to it!
