Such a bad ass. Everyone check out his site, www.gravel08.us. Get involved on the forums, spread the word a bit. The biggest mistake of the majority (that being people aware of the 9/11 corruption) could be to assume defeat. We must take action in spreading the word, make it a personal mission to make atlease 2 people aware of Mike Gravel. Thats the only way to get a real person who speaks for the people in office.

Unless you're prepared to research and read thousands, if not millions, of bills people would put up under Gravel's National Initiative, you probably wouldn't want to vote for him. Congress can barely keep up with the bills of 535 members, so allowing any voting age citizen, of which there are 215 million, to put up legislation is ridiculous. I admire the man, but not his plan.

Awsome, we can "end the war"

and leave Iraq in a state where the drop of a pin could set it back into chaos and worse violence.

If we get the job done now we wont have to worry about going back in another ten years from now like we had to after the first gulf war.

Also, this guy is about as dynamic and interesting as a cinderblock.

Gravel wants to run away and hide from Iraq. If we were to pull out and Iraq inevitably gets more violent and more out of control, and the current Iraqi government and military inevitably fall, what is Gravel prepared to do? Will he stand by and let things work themselves out? Will he try to put troops back in? I hate this war as much as the next guy, but just running away isn't the answer.

Ron Paul has a policy of non-military intervention, while using diplomacy to solve problems. Seems to me that Gravel is the one who wants to run and hide.

C'mon Chin, aside from running from Iraq, what else does Gravel have? Iraq withdrawal is the only thing I've heard in terms of foreign policy from Gravel, while Ron Paul has a strong libertarian position of non-military intervention and diplomacy.

Adamness .. does addressing the entire middle east with aggressive diplomacy & removing the threatening military forces .. sound like running away .. or taking charge .. supporting the middle eastern people in their efforts to address the problem they have & returning credibility to the American people & representatives ? This man knows how to lead from behind .. not run in a start shooting like a fucking idiot ..

I think your confusing Ron Paul with Gravel .. its R!P who doesn't have the balls to speak to all the leaders of the world .. take on board foreign policy & stop behaving like a spoilt child who doesn't want to play ..

Sure R!P is telling some truth .. I commend him for it .. but he doesn't show any intentions of applying it in a very real way on the global stage .. for that we need a real leader .. not just a talker ..

If Gravel is such a great leader, why has he been in hiding for 30 years? After the Democratic debate on MSNBC, Chris Matthews asked Gravel where he's been for 30 years; his response was "Hiding under a rock." Is that really appropriate? He's been away for 30 years, and all of a sudden thinks he can run the country? And beyond that, he thinks we can handle flooding the government with millions of bills?

Paul has been standing up to big corporations, big government and his own party for 10 terms in the House. Seems pretty good to me.
