Tell it like it is Christopher, tell it like it is. But he did forget a couple other charlatans: Al Sharpton & Jesse Jackson.

Personally, I don't believe in heaven or hell, but if there really was a hell, Jerry Falwell would be there, bent over for Satan for all eternity.

Scumbags like Falwell will never be dead enough.

He's just another person using a radical to lump in all people of faith into the same camp. It's like believing in your own warped mind that all Republicans are as dumb as Bush. Or all people of faith are as radical as Fallwell. Or all Liberals think that owning a dog is cruelty to animals.

Quit the stereotyping. It's getting to be a bit ignorant and ridiculous. So because I believe that we as humans are not responsible for the existence of the universe, I am automatically a brainwashed neo-con who is so close minded and stupid that I couldn't possibly comprehend his truth.

For fuck sakes. This man is just as radical Fallwell. Whether he can admit it while he sits on his high throne of ultimate truth or not.

Anderson Cooper is much more attractive than the satanist Christopher Hitchens

I agree with most of what he says but he isn't so altruistic, and feels so strongly about getting this important message accross, that he is giving his book away for free is he?

Yet ironically he has a Christian name...I suggest him change his name lest he be a hypocrite. Afterall, Christopher is Greek meaning "bearing Christ inside."

oh man. he just kicked jerry fawell in the nuts even if that guy is in a box 6 feet under the ground. you rarely see people with a powerful thought out criticizing view of an issue having the opportunity to express their ideas fully on national television. i bet anderson cooper wasn't expecting all that. in the beginning the author wouldn't let a word in until he was done. that guy does bring up some interesting points though. just because someone dresses up and gives themselves the title of a religious figure, or of any figure of authority, doesn't mean you should just take their word for anything straightaway. if some supposed moral, religious person starts spewing hate, they've just become an epiphany of hypocrites.

but actually, i don't know anything about jerry fawell, so i'm not going to agree or disagree with that guy. but if what he said was true then that fawell person must suck

Well Hitchens certainly picked upon the audacity of Falwell, but the big problem is parents taking their children to see Falwell speech. People like Falwell should be able to voice their opinions; y'don't have to listen, just as you don't have to listen to Hitchens!

Zappa was one of the first to see through the hypocrisy of the religious right, such as Robertson, Falwell et. al.
