^How do you explain filling the other 4 cups with the larger cup, if its the same amount of water he started with?

I noticed the 'rods' in the cups, as well, and thought I had it figured out. Then he reversed it.

the cylners in the cup have water. thats why the end mix is much less white as the 1st cup of milk.

according to people on other sites, there is water/powder in the bottom and this causes there to be more water or whatever...

theres already water in the bigger cup
so when he pours the colored solution in it seems to "grow" as the colored water dilutes and fills the next size cup

There are 3 chambers. One very thin chamber on the outside. One tube on the inside. And the third is the space between the tube and the outer chamber.

The first pour is in between the center cylinder and the thin outer chamber. The area here is greater than the outside chamber. Notice that the liquid is a bright white. The tube width varies by glass to give the same overall area.

The second pour is in different place (towards the pourer side of the glass). This fills the thin outer chamber (remember the little doll milk bottles that had milk that would "disappear" when they were turned nipple-side down). Notice the milk is not as bright since it's not as dense.
