while it's cool, it's not really a "speed painting" this probably took hours to do, and it's "time lapsed" just sayin.

Kent has a point, speed painting doesn't mean time-lapsing a painting that took hours to do.

great stuff, i think the chin, eyes and hat didn't look like the original image, thats what put me off.

^^ I disagree, the time lapse reduced it to 5 min, and this looks to be speeded up to about 8 times normal speed, so times 5 by 8 you've got 40 mins. Which to me is quite fast.

So I think it's fair to call it a speed painting.

And it was damn good, I love how all the criticism comes from people who have probably never attempted painting.
