yea....maybe theres just an on off switch...but can you imagine forgetting to turn it off, and just holding the gun at your side with the laser lighting up your foot....mmmmmmm pretty laser......*boom*

Seems like an Apache or Cobra is what is shooting the mini-gun and missles. Might be an IR designator too...not sure if they use laser designators at night.

I actually work on LASER designators for the Marine Corps. The one in the video looks more like a LASER pointer. Laser designators pulse, that one wasn't pulsing. Designators are more used for LASER guided bombs. And yes they can use them at night and day.

The guy says it in the beginning of the film
"That is an IR spotlight"
And right at the end of the film you get a glimpse of the chopper, I'm guessing its a AH1 Cobra (Supercobra?) although it could be a AH64 Apache as stft said or possibly a MH60 DAP Blackhawk, because it seems to have both miniguns and machine guns (you can hear it)

If you watch, when the mini-gun starts firing and continues until the rockets are fired, all the ordinance comes from relatively the same location. I'd suspect its pretty hard for an A-10, or two A-10's, to fire from the same location while traveling up to speed. 30mm cannon in an A-10 also fires much faster than that in the video. Just my 2 cents

yeah you can tell its a heli listen for the chop as it flies over....and I cant remember the rate of fire of the Vulcan and Avenger tho the Avenger on an A-10 sounds somewhat like a loud hiss....either way the video is cool and no offence to anyone but,gratz to our boys
