I find it odd they did not say any thing about how it was based form the russian KV-2.

^Maybe because the original concept was designed by Henschel in 1937.

It wasn't based on the KV2, it was put through further development in reponse to the KV1 and T34.

Godwarrior russians was not scared of the tiger it was to big and slow to work much in the russian winter and was not hard for them to destroy if it was working.

Russian tanks where able to pop tiger's IS1 and 2 where both able to take the tiger on along with the Kv2.

^because Tigers were designed for europe not Russia. Hitler's biggest mistake was attacking the Soviets before he had taken England. Without England the allies wouldn't be able to get as much support from the USA and therefore germany would be able to make modifications and better plans to take the Soviets without having to worry about their supply lines being drawn too thin.

^ I disagree, Nazi Germany wasn't in a position to fight a prolonged war and that was what the Russians were giving them.

If we were to think hypothetically that Nazi Germany were not at war with the Allies after occupying most of Europe, then the industrial capacity, resources (Russia had lots of resources compared to Germany, especially oil), manpower and technology of the Soviets would have eventually prevailed. The reason Hitler was able to make some good progress into Russia early in the war was due to their blitzkrieg doctrine and surprise. The soviets were ill prepared to defend themselves due to domestic instability from all the changes that took place, revolution and political purges. Also by 1943-44 Russia produced tanks that were superior to any other on the battle field. T-34s were the best medium tanks and the IS series tanks equal to the Tiger I. The reason for German tank superiority was in the way they were used. Two way radio increased their effectiveness.

"One of the IS-2's most notable engagements took place during the fighting in August 1944 to establish a bridgehead across the river Vistula around the town of Sandomierz. This was the first time the IS-2 had come up against the fearsome Tiger II. During the engagement on August 13, the 71st Independent Heavy Tank Regiment's eleven IS-2s blocked an attack by fourteen Tiger IIs of the 105th Heavy Panzer Regiment. An engagement at about 700 metres (770 yd) coupled with skilled tactical handling saw four Tiger IIs destroyed for the loss of three IS-2s and seven damaged. This was a very creditable performance, although the post-battle analysis again revealed that the IS-2's armour was vulnerable up to 1,000 metres (1,100 yd) due to faulty casting. Moreover, after such engagements, General-inspector of PanzerWaffe Guderian signed an order forbidding Tigers or Panthers to engage soviet heavy IS-2 tanks in a tank duel, because they were 'doomed'."

Love how i show up godwarrior about the russian not been scared of the tiger and get rated down.

The fact is the tiger is a great tank its just not great vs russians who had tanks ready to counter it.

Erico do you rember that IS2 vs a panther fight where the shell of the IS2 passed right through a panther's front armor and out the back as i can't find a link to it.

Nope, don't think I've heard but I wouldn't be too surprised.

The Tiger has more armor but the IS2 had the bigger gun 122mm vs the Tiger's 88mm. On paper I would say the IS2s look more impressive.
