Coon Chicken Inn was a chain of three restaurants founded by Maxon Lester Graham and Adelaide Burt in 1925, which prospered until the late 1950s. The restaurant's name, trademarks and entrances of the restaurants were designed to look like a smiling blackface caricature of an African-American porter. The smiling capped porter head also appeared on menus, dishes, and promotional items.

Police have released a graphic X-ray of at least 30 nails piercing a Sydney man's skull in an effort to find his killers. NSW homicide detectives are hunting the killers, whose body was found in marshland in Sydney's south last year. Police said an industrial nail gun was used to kill the man. "Post mortem examination results revealed he was shot repeatedly to the head with a high-powered nail gun," Detective Inspector Mark Newham said in a statement. "Similar types of nail guns can fire nails up to 85mm long."
