From the outside, Anthony Toth's house looks quite ordinary - but step inside and you find a big departure from the norm. This airline nut has recreated the passenger cabin of a 1980s Pan Am Boeing 747 in his garage. His homage to the defunct fleet is so detailed he even has a real departure board, aircraft seats, luggage racks, oxygen masks, safety manuals and sick bags. The 42-year-old, who works for US carrier United Airlines, has spent thousands of pounds over 20 years to achieve his dream. 'I became obsessed with flying Pan Am because of the amazing cabin interiors,' said Mr Toth, who built a model of the aircraft's interior when he was just ten. 'The great thing about Pan Am was that it was so identifiable - you could sit in that cabin and know exactly who you were flying with,' added the fan, from Redondo Beach, California. His obsession even influenced his choice of house - he picked one with an oversized garage. Source
INDIANAPOLIS — A man was arrested after police said he left his 5-year-old son in a tractor-trailer while he ducked into an Indianapolis strip club to drink. The 39-year-old was arrested at 1:15 a.m. Tuesday on child neglect and public intoxication charges after calling police to report his truck stolen and his child missing. Police said the man was too drunk to remember where he had parked. They found the boy inside watching cartoons on a television inside the cab. The keys were in the ignition, and the doors were unlocked. Police said the suspect put his son in jeopardy by leaving him exposed in a high crime area. The man was taken to the Marion County jail, where his wife picked up him and the child. Source
Two lovers have had sex in broad daylight in a clock tower above a busy junction in Sydney. The couple shocked onlookers by getting down to business on the roof of one of the city's landmarks in the middle of the afternoon, reports the Daily Telegraph. Crowds gathered at the foot of the building - a former department store converted into university accommodation - and at least one member of the public captured their passions on camera. "A few other people had noticed as well and when I started taking photos everyone in the area started to look up and point, laugh, grin," a witness told the Australian Daily Telegraph. "From the looks of it, the couple did seem to know they could be seen and seemed completely unfazed." Australian newspapers are now appealing for the couple to come forward. There is speculation that they were students staying in the building who decided to make love on the roof as a prank. The property on which they displayed their affection was constructed for the Grace Bros department store in 1923, and remains one of the most prominent buildings in the city. Source

BRIDGEVILLE, Pa. - Police say a western Pennsylvania man told them he kicked his girlfriend's puppy to death because he was upset that the pit bull wouldn't behave before the start of the Pittsburgh Steelers game. Twenty-two-year-old William Woodson, of Bridgeville, remained jailed Monday on a charge of animal cruelty in the 13-week-old pit bull's death. A witness told police that Woodson was kicking the dog down the street shortly after 1 p.m. Sunday, which is when the football game began. Police say Woodson was supposed to be taking the pit bull for a walk, but the animal resisted. By the time police arrived, the puppy was dead. Police say Woodson didn't like the dog and was upset that his live-in girlfriend bought it. Online court records don't list an attorney for Woodson. Source
ASHVILLE, N.C., -- A 77-year-old North Carolina eye doctor is in hot water with the state Medical Board after a patient said he called her fat. The patient wrote in a private complaint to the board that Dr. Earl Sunderhaus of Ashville called her irresponsible because she was unemployed and using Medicaid while pregnant with her second child in as many years, The (Raleigh, N.C.) News & Observer reported. The woman said she was further angered when Sunderhaus poked her in the thigh and called her fat. "When I got home I was very upset about the way I was treated by him," she wrote in the complaint. Sunderhaus said he was making a point with the woman about how obesity can lead to diabetes, which causes blindness. He said he expects to get "screwed" by the board but he will accept any punishment from the board, even if it means losing his license. "I'm 77," he said. "I can tell them to stick the darn thing." GIBSON, La. — A real estate agent showing a house got to the basement and found about 100 human bones in a corner. James Kenny, a forensic investigator with the Terrebonne Parish Coroner's Office, says the bones found Saturday were so old that dirt had saturated the marrow inside them. He says they probably are remains of Native Americans buried long before the house was built. Kenny says he learned that the previous residents would often find bones while mowing the lawn or doing yard work, and would put them in the basement. Half of the split-level house is on top of a circular mound, which parish officials suggest may be an Indian burial mound. Neither the agent nor the home's owner would talk to The Courier of Houma.
