This car and drive train will never make production and that is so sad. GM could use a super tree hugger car to brighten up its truck and V8 image but, don't get your hopes up this car is PURE green wash and will never make production.

^ It's a shame too, because its a great design. The battery holds 16kwh of charge, way more than the 1.6 kwh of todays hybrids. That means the car will run 40 miles on the electric motor alone, with the motor only kicking in when charge gets too low. Then you can take the car home, plug it into a wall socket, and its ready to go the next day. Theoretically, if you drive it less than 40 miles a day, youll get unlimited gas mileage. And based on current electric charges, charging it each day would work out to about $2 per 100 miles.
