someone would be a legend if they could explain all of them, i know 3!, 6.9999999999999999, and the one for 12

but yeh interested to know about the others

Yeah, but you could still always tell the time because everyone knows where 1-12 should go.

3! is a factorial. It would be simplified as 3 * 2 * 1 which would be 6. But I think the one for 2 might be wrong but I am rusty on my math.

Here are some that I know:
2: it`s a summation of a series for i going from 0 to infinity. so you get 1/1 + 1/2 + 1/4 + 1/8 + 1/16 + ....., and then sum of this series is equal to 2. Remember, any number to the power of 0 is equal 1.

6: 3! = 3 x 2 x 1 = = 6.

7: 6.999999999... basically equals 7.

8: This is in binary. Black circle means 1, white circle means 0. The four circles represent: 2^3, 2^2, 2^1, 2^0. A 1 at the position of 2^3 means 1 x 2^3 = 8. 0 at the rest just means no values there. So it equals 8.

9: it`s a number in a different base, kinda like binary (base 2), but base 4. you can get 9 by doing: 2 x 4^1 + 1 x 4^0 = 8 + 1 = 9

10: Combinatorics. 5 and 2 in brackets like that says: 5 choose 2. Basically, if you have 5 apples, how many combinations of 2 apples can you pick out from the 5? Answer is 10 combinations.

11: Hexadecimals. You have 0 to 9, then A = 10, B = 11, C=12, D13, E=14, F=15. 0x0B is a hexdecimal address of 11. Note that the single biggest digit in any base number system always goes up to that base minus 1. Base 10 (the one we normally use goes up to 9 and then we have to use two digits). Hexadecimal is base 16, and the biggest digit goes up to 15 (F).

12: 3rd root of 1728 = 12 (that means, 12 x 12 x 12 = 1728)

5: the symbol is the Greek letter Phi which represents the golden ratio (1.618), so ((2*1.1618)-1)^2 = 5

4: In modular arithmetic of a prime number (like 7) every number between 1 and (7-1) = 6 has a unique inverse which, when multiplied by the number, results in 1 (mod 7). Obviously 0 has no inverse since anything times 0 equals 0. So here, 2*2^{-1} must equal 1 (mod 7). As it turns out, 2*4 = 8, and 8 is 1 (mod 7), therefore 2^{-1} (mod 7) = 4.

Wow, what the fuck would we do without the brainiac moron brigagde to give us the answers to the equations? Of course, a couple of folks are obviously bewildered by what numbers go where on an analog clock.

I swear, between the internet and our crappy education system, kids just can`t figure out anything on their own anymore.

I vaguely remember my Mathematics Relations class that deal with statistics and stuff (!)... and I thought 10 was a matrix of 5 and 2.... but that was 20 years ago.

Anyone know what B`L and the magnetic characters for 3 are?

Edit: Never mind... Unicode 33 is the number three.
