They aren`t that much ahead. That amount of speed is almost senseless because no matter what your computer isn`t going to be able to handle 60mbps

It will at most max out at 10mbps and even that is rare.

It`s most likely that like every other country people rate their ISP by how fast they are and obviously Japan has a huge ISP speed war.

I have 20mbps for my business and run several servers on it. The servers running at max capacity have a hard time maxing out that much bandwidth.

*** If you want to see how much bandwidth your computer can handle. If you have more than one computer at home. Share a folder and copy a movie. The transfer will most likely run at 5mbps over a 100mbps network if your wired and if your wireless you`re most likely on a 54mbps network.

Average speed.... Average. Doe snot mean "Almost all have lower than that, close to my country.. It means average. I am usally connected with a 100/100 line, as is anyone in Sweden who plays a lot online. It cost about... lessee... 30 USD a month. Worth it. At the same time, average Joe, family father of 5, 50 years o,d only wants some pron at 2AM when wife is sleeping.... he gets a connection from our biggest company, probably a 4/2 line costing 20 USD. Average.... Means "lots of people have a lot more" You live in backwater country does not mean "The rest of the world lies"
