It usually depending on the class. My religion courses (not sunday school but real study of religion) I had an awesome professor and would sit towards the middle/front, unlike my history professor from Asia and I couldn`t understand a word he was saying so I was in the back closest to the exit.

I was the teachers pet (never a wannabe, lol) but sat in the very back.
Usually because I was grading test, entering test scores and I liked listening to my voice echo.

Spared all the students from answering questions.. you`re welcome.
