I don't get the point of flat screen TV's or monitors. Sure they're useful for laptops, but for a desktop computer they serve very little use. The only thing they're better for is saving space, which isn't normally a big deal with desktop computers, and it would be cheaper to buy a bigger desk.

I actually have this sorta thing in my house, but since my TV is a "65, it's not the same. People KNOW it's a projection TV cause the speakers are flush with the screen to the floor. I live with my parents by the way, and my dad's the one who set it up. He rebuilt a wall and left a rather large indent in it with electrical wiring. We just moved in this year, so we don't really give a shit what anyone else would think of doing with a bigass dent in their living room wall.

As for the purpose of flatscreens? Well the image is nicer, the electricity consumed is less, I'm pretty sure the screens take hella longer to get image burn, the radiation is less, and yes, you save a lot of desk space. Also, it doesn't weigh as much as a solid lump of lead. (Don't troll me on this, I'm too lazy to research this crap)

LCD and Plasma TV's still cannot meet the definition of a Flat Screen projection TV, especially a front projection system.
LCD/Plasma screens can take up to 1/20th of a second to refresh from screen to screen, thus it can be barely detectable to the eye, yet the resolution still suffers.
So before ya'll go saying that LCD's and Plasma's are much better than projection TV's, and those who buy projection TV's are cheap. Try doing a little research before you voice your ignorance.
