this is a sentry designed by samsung for south korea, who's purpose will be deterring illegal crossing of borders. the main problem with these sorts of systems (as well as mines) is the misidentification of objects as foes (such as animals) and detonating, or wasting ammunition killing deer and the likes. chances are good that it can be subverted by crawling on all fours - but i wouldn't want to try it.

it comes loaded with a 10-megapixel camera… yes, 10 megapixels. chances are that's a lot more megapixels than your regular camera, although a lot of megapixels doesn't necessarily mean it's an amazing shooter. it'll cost you a solid $900, but of all your friends you'll have the crispest shots of that strange-looking guy you saw on the subway. oh, the subway in korea that is, as that's the only place this is available.
