tuskegee, ala. - more than 200 people linked arms and marched through rosa parks' hometown to pay tribute to the late civil rights pioneer.
organizers said wednesday's march represented the 50,000 who took part in the montgomery, ala., bus boycott after parks' historic act of defiance sparked the modern civil rights movement.
"today we wanted to march one more time for rosa," mayor johnny ford said.
the memorial was one of a series of events scheduled to commemorate parks, who died monday at the age of 92. on dec. 1, 1955 she refused to give up her seat on a city bus to a white man. her arrest triggered a 381-day boycott of the montgomery bus system.

a video made with random clips of bruce lee fighting and smiling. although this is probably serious, some of it is just funny. but there is also some really phenomenal footage of him in this too.
one of my friends at a st. patrick's day party. he got so drunk we convinced him someone took his penis. now kids, this is why you shouldn't get drunk. your mental capacity is reduced to that of a five year old and your friends immortalize it with a digital camera.
today is the anniversary of the death of a person who brought vegetables and humans to a table of togetherness and asked, “are we that different?”
terri schiavo was the brave pawn that was manipulated by all sides last year. she was the centerpiece in a political shit storm that came thundering out of the nation’s capitol. at one point republicans were conducting midnight sessions, trying to get a resolution started that would ultimately ban death altogether (except state sponsored executions). when the measure failed due to lack of support from across the aisle, they had president george bush the second, talk to his brother jeb bush, governor of florida, to intervene and stop terri schiavo from being killed.
the court ultimately sided with her husband, and allowed her to be taken off of all the automatic feeders and lighting that had been keeping her alive in her vegetative state. after days of people screaming and crying over a woman they did not know, after weeks of the 24 hour news networks sucking what little grief the family still had and showing it to the nation for months, it all stopped. suddenly the world returned to its previous state. after terri was replanted into the ground, we ceased to talk about the lessons that could be learned from her silent protest.
what lesson did you learn from the veggiperson that captured our television last year and said to all of us, “ughghh”? that defiance for those that would seek to stop feeding and watering her, was so purely stated in her simple choices for words.
she was not just a vegetable; she was not just a woman. she was however hope; hope to the millions of humans who believe that vegetables and mankind can live together in peace. since her story broke, thousands more have come to join p.e.t.e (people for the ethical treatment of everything). pete was formed from several members of the group p.e.t.a who thought that protecting the animals was just not enough. they are still referred to by members of p.e.t.a as the bat-shit crazy branch. but that view has been changing recently. pete was formed in 2003, and has grown rapidly with a massive influx of donations and members during last years schiavo debacle. “a human being, a cow, an olive, i mean come on even a rock needs to be treated with respect, right?” said oliver stewart a spokesman for the p.e.t.e group.
if you would like to make a difference with everything in this world than you can contact your local pete chapter, or visit their website.

remember to touch first base next time...
a woman awakes during the night to find that her husband was not in their bed. she puts on her robe and goes downstairs to look for him. she finds him sitting at the kitchen table with a cup of coffee in front him. he appears deep in thought, just staring at the wall. she watches as he wipes a tear from his eye and takes a sip of coffee. "what's the matter, dear?" she whispers as she steps into the room. "why are you down here at this time of night?" the husband looks up, "do you remember 20 years ago when we were dating, and you were only 17?" he asks solemnly. the wife is touched thinking her husband is so caring and sensitive. "yes, i do," she replies. the husband pauses. the words are not coming easily. "do you remember when you father caught us kissing in the back seat of my car?" "yes, i remember," says the wife, lowering herself into a chair beside him. the husband continues, "do you remember when he shoved a shotgun in my face and said, "either you marry my daughter, or i will send you to jail for 20 years!" "i remember that too", she replies softly. he wipes another tear from his cheek and says, "i would have gotten out today!"
did you forget your anniversary again? wrapped around your finger, the remember ring will make sure you don't forget an important date by heating up to 120°f for 10 seconds 24 hours before the big day, and then doing it again every hour on the hour. it's equipped with a micro thermopile, converting the heat from your hand into electricity so the tiny battery stays charged and the internal clock never stops. your jeweler will program the date, then you can just slip it on and forget your troubles; after all, that's what the ring's there to remind you about. not a bad idea, really, since it's wearable and isn't something you might forget to take with you like the mini reminder. source sci-fi.com

when asked about supreme court rulings, she can only refer to one over 30 years ago, yet one that happened just four months ago in alaska (exxon vs baker), escapes her memory, even though she was interviewed about the case on tv. this is a video of back2back interview showing she is unfit to lead
well here was the aftermath which i personally didn't see on the previous vid.
girlfriend says you were wonderful.. fantastic and you want to marry her. and her mom & dad are coming. need to leave town?? maersk air.
once again, the war mongers in america backpedal on on their assertions of strong evidence. if it wasn't such a tragedy, this would be one of the worlds biggest comedies.
