made with over 245 tonnes (245,000 kg) of ice and almost 1,000 hours (almost 42 days) to build, the pontiac ice maze in toronto, ontario was an amazing structure to look at and experience. it was build during the canadian international auto show in february as a promotion for pontiac.
quick facts:
- made with over 245 tonnes of ice and was the shape of the pontiac dart logo - each block of ice weight around 136 kg - the structure measures 60 m in length and approximately 28 m in width - the walls of ice were about 25 cm thick - the red glow at night was produced by specially installed lighting - it took 20 people and almost 1,000 hours to build - the purpose of the maze was to find the new pontiac g6 in the middle (the g6 was a considerably new car at the time)

with the chevrolet camaro making a comeback, so is its twin, the trans am.

concept car from the late 1980`s. the stinger comes with inbuilt pull-out radio, two portable hand vacuum cleaners, a camp stove, a flashlight, a first aid kit, a fire extinguisher, a picnic table, camp chairs, an ice chest, a toolbox, and of course, what car would be complete without an inbuilt garden hose. all that`s missing is a set of steak knives.
