a fantastic example of how pop musicians can be lazy. i was listening to the radio when i heard alicia keys` new song which i thought sounded like the black eyed peas. i played around with the pitch and tempo of both songs and after settling on a change of less than 1%, i synchronized the songs and to my surprise, not only did both songs have the same chord structure, they also had a very similar beat and the choruses, verses and interludes seemed to play at the same point in each song. these two songs have not been edited.

this is an unusual clip. it's from bbc news 24's weekly pc program "click online". whilst answering a question about windows activation; a clip is shown which appears to be a genuine xp key. i should stress i've had no chance to test it though, so mabye it's just a mock up key. if anyone can find out if it's real please post.

a woman was arrested and charged with arson and burglary after police say she set fire to the home of a neighbor she thought had stolen her keys. sgt. clint riley of the lane county sheriff's office said the 23-year-old woman later found her keys hanging from her pants pocket. the woman was being held in the lane county jail in lieu of $350,000 bail. according to a police report, the woman told a deputy that after discovering her keys missing, she broke into her neighbors' trailer, and began trashing the place. after going home to fetch lighter fluid and cooking oil, she returned to the neighbors' place and tried to start a fire by spraying lighter fluid on a hot stove burner, according to the report. when that didn't work, she allegedly placed the oil and a stuffed animal on the stove, according to the report. she called 9-1-1 and hid in a bush across the street while deputies and firefighters responded, riley said. the woman's boyfriend said a friend called him at work and he rushed home to find her hiding in the bushes, barefoot and incoherent, according to the report. the woman told her boyfriend her keys were missing, at which time he pointed to a set of keys hanging from her pants pocket and "she began to cry," riley said. a damage estimate was not immediately available. source: boston.com
an american toddler has survived being stabbed in his brain, through his eye, with a set of car keys. when nicholas holderman, 1, fell over at his missouri home, his father chris was shocked to find he was impaled on the keys - which entered his eyelid and penetrated his brain, the sun newspaper reports. "it was a very horrifying sight to see this happen to your baby," mr holderman said. nicholas's mother staci said: "i'll never forget that moment. nothing can prepare you for something like that." doctors told the family the keys could be removed without damaging nicholas's brain but his eye had been ruptured. but, in what has been declared a miracle in the us, just 15 minutes later another doctor examined the tot and found the boy's eyesight had not suffered at all. "fifteen minutes later, for another (doctor) to say nothing was wrong, we knew it was a miracle from the lord", mr holderman said. more than two months later, nicholas is a hero in his hometown of perryville. "everyone will say, 'which eye is it?' we all grin and look at him and are so thankful and are reminded every day of what a miracle it truly is," mrs holderman said. source
a 71-year-old man with no legs is accused of scratching a nissan parked in a handicapped space at a walmart supercenter, apparently thinking the nissan driver was abusing the parking privilege, according to a police spokesman and a report released thursday. the 39-year-old victim on wednesday told an employee at the walmart on south u.s. 1 that she was picking up her handicapped mother. she was gone for about 30 minutes, and reportedly noticed someone had keyed the driver's side of the 2009 nissan altima. a check of the surveillance system reportedly showed a legless man in a motorized wheel chair come out of a white van. the man “powered his wheel chair across the parking lot to where (the victim's) car was parked . . . and came from the front to the rear of the driver's side,” a report shows. stopped while exiting the store, keith brian berry, 71, apologized for the “most stupidest thing” he's ever done. he said “people always abuse the handicapped parking when they are not handicapped.” berry apologized to the victim, saying he didn't think of the possibility her mother could be handicapped. the nissan had a handicapped decal hanging from the rear-view mirror. berry, of the 3400 block of bromeliad court, was issued a notice to appear in court sept. 23 on a criminal mischief charge. berry was told he could be arrested for trespassing if he returns to walmart. source
