bush wants us to cut the amount of gas we use. the best way to stop using so much gas is to deport 11 million illegal immigrants! that would be 11 million less people using our gas. the price of gas would come down. bring some of our troops home from iraq to guard the borders. when they catch an illegal immigrant crossing the border, hand him a canteen, rifle and some ammo and ship him to iraq. tell him if he wants to come to america then he must serve a tour in the military. give him a soldier's pay while he's there and tax him on it! after his tour, he will be allowed to become a citizen since he defended this country. he will also be registered to be taxed and be a legal patriot. this option will probably deter illegal immigration and provide a solution for the troops in iraq and the aliens trying to make a better life for themselves. if they refuse to serve, ship them to iraq anyway, without the canteen, rifle or ammo. problem solved.
in europe, they face problems with a different breed of illegal immigrant, namely brown bears.
in the italian alps, near trentino, a nature conservation program reintroduced bears into nature. however, the population of the bears has steadily declined, despite efforts to halt it. it had people baffled, but then they got some unexpected news.
in austria and germany, brown bears were spotted. they were thought to have been extinct for decades.
in bavaria, germany, sheep have been killed, beehives have been torn apart and chicken coops were destroyed, apparently by a lone brown bear. many inhabitants of the region call for the extermination of the bear, feeling that it poses a great danger to people and property alike.
german authorities and hunters have been looking for the bear, but so far it has not been found.
the incident has caused a rift in diplomatic relations between italy and germany, since italy feels that the reaction of germany was hysterical. italian authorities have proposed shooting the bear with a dart, and then transporting it back to italy.
italian authorities are looking into a way to keep bears from escaping the italian alps.
the senate judiciary committee last night approved a plan that would put millions of illegal aliens on a path to u.s. citizenship, would let them stay here while applying and would not punish their unlawful entry as a felony, contrary to a house-passed bill.
"a path to earned citizenship is what this bill is all about," sen. lindsey graham, south carolina republican, said after joining all democrats and three other republicans on the panel to approve the plan, which many consider an "amnesty."
the sudden approval -- after weeks of negotiations that often had appeared fruitless -- likely will lead to a showdown with the house, which last year approved an immigration bill that only tightened border security.
"if the bottom line is that all people that came here illegally have got to be made citizens, then we should have the vote now," sen. jon kyl, the arizona republican who fought the proposal, said in the seven-hour committee meeting yesterday.
"that's amnesty, and that won't work. and the house won't even go to conference with something like that," he said.
the plan approved by the committee -- taken from a bill written by sens. john mccain, arizona republican, and edward m. kennedy, massachusetts democrat -- would fine current illegal aliens $2,000 each. the bill also would require aliens to undergo criminal background checks and mandate that they maintain employment over the six years they wait to get in line for full citizenship, a process which takes several more years.

this made me feel sick.
i`m surprised this hasn`t been uploaded yet. on november 17, 2007 this polish man began to act up at vancouver`s yvr airport after waiting for his mother to arrive for 10 hours. the rcmp (royal canadian mounted police, don`t be confused american folk, they don`t actually wear red coats, big hats and ride horses) responded and within less then 30 seconds proceeded to taser the man twice, until he was pronounced dead. i have great respect for police since my family is mostly officers of the law, however this is just sick.
