one afternoon, a wealthy lawyer was riding in the back of his limousine when he saw two men eating grass by the road side. he ordered his driver to stop and he got out to investigate.
"why are you eating grass?" he asked one man.
"we don't have any money for food." the poor man replied.
"oh, come along with me then."
"but sir, i have a wife with two children!"
"bring them along! and you, come with us too!", he said to the other man.
"but sir, i have a wife with six children!" the second man answered.
"bring them as well!"
they all climbed into the car, which was no easy task, even for a car as large as the limo. once underway, one of the poor fellows says, "sir, you are too kind. thank you for taking all of us with you."
the lawyer replied, "no problem, the grass at my home is about two feet tall!"
there once was a rich man who lived on a tall hill. one day he decided to head down to the village below him and see how the poor people lived and survived. so, he got in his limo and drove down. when he first arrived, he noticed that a family was sitting outside eating grass. he had the driver stop the limo and asked the father of the family, "excuse me. why are you eating grass?" the father replied,"well, sir, the rain was poor this season and my crops are ruined. this is all we have to live on." the rich man said,"that's incredible. hey, tell ya what, why don't you and your family get in my limo and i'll take you back to my estate where you can eat all you can to your hearts' content?" the father thanked the man and brought his family to the car. as they rode along, the father said, "sir, i do thank you for this, but my neighbors are in the same situation. in fact, most of this village is." the rich man said, "well, tell them all to get in! there is plenty to eat for everyone!" and so, the villagers all piled into his limo and started to head back to his estate. on the way, the father of the first family exploded with joy and said, "thank you so much, sir! you have no idea what this means for me and my people!" the rich man said, "hey, it's no problem. and you will never go hungry at my place. the grass there is almost six feet high."

sandusky, ohio - an ohio man arrested for mowing unkempt grass at a public park says he just wanted to make his city look nice. john hamilton said he took control of the situation because the grass in sandusky's central park was about a foot high. according to a police report, a witness said hamilton was blowing grass onto the sidewalk and shredding trash in the park that had not been picked up. police said they arrested the 48-year-old hamilton after he refused to stop mowing and charged him with obstructing official business and disorderly conduct. city manager matt kline called the arrest unfortunate and said he understands hamilton's frustration. kline said budget cuts have left sandusky understaffed for seasonal maintenance work. source
