for those of you who have heard of or played farcry, there is a new second game coming out called farcry: instincts. with a totally fresh plot and new edge on the game, the makers (ubisoft) are including an in game editor which allows you to create your own tropical paradises. in this video, it goes over the details of how it will work, while also promoting the game.

cyberlearning has developed the smart braingames system, using technology developed by nasa for training their pilots. players wear a helmet that can detect brainwaves. with neuro-feedback training the game gets easier if the player stimulates his brain correctly.
car racing games work best with the system, which rewards users by telling the controller to allow them to go fast and steer with control. when their brain waves aren't in "the zone" the controller makes it harder to accelerate and steer.
even people without brain damage, but suffering from add or adhd can benefit from the new system.
last year, margaret macdonald, a san jose, california doctor, focused her practice on neuro-feedback after her son's add symptoms improved within three months of using cyberlearning's system.
she recommends that patients work with a trained professional to ensure they are reinforcing the right brain wave activity to produce the desired result.
"this isn't something you can just play with. you could train the wrong thing and cause someone to become more anxious and irritable," she said.
