article submitted by ug7433. an unsuspecting passenger who flew through tokyo's narita airport left with $10,000 worth of free marijuana thanks to a forgetful customs officer and a sniffer dog with an unreliable nose. the officer stuffed five ounces of the drug into the side pocket of a randomly selected black suitcase coming off an overseas flight into narita yesterday so that the dog could get some practice at detecting drugs. "the dog couldn’t find it and the officer also forgot which bag he put it in," a customs office spokeswoman said. "if by some chance passengers find it in their suitcase, we’re asking them to return it." the spokeswoman quoted the unnamed 38-year-old officer as saying: "i knew that using passengers’ bags is prohibited, but i did it because i wanted to improve the sniffer dog’s ability." he was reprimanded by the head of customs at narita, manpei tanaka, who said: "this case was extremely regrettable. i would like to deeply apologize." the marijuana, which has a street value of $9,680, was in a metal box wrapped with newspapers. japan strictly prohibits both hard and soft drugs, with people imprisoned for possession of even small amounts of marijuana. source

a robber wielding an ornamental sword returned to the service station he had allegedly just held up when he realised he had left his haul behind, police say. the 20-year-old man approached an attendant at a service station in south perth about 1.30am today and allegedly demanded money and cigarettes. the attendant took money from the till and packets of cigarettes and placed them in a bag. the offender fled on foot across the canning highway before realising he had left the bag in the service station. police say he returned to find the door locked and pleaded with the attendant to let him back in for his booty. the attendant refused so the offender fled again. police caught up with him several streets away, allegedly still wielding his sword. the man held up the same service station on august 17, police believe. he was charged with two counts of armed robbery and will appear in perth magistrates court today.source

visitors to british spas are having chocolate smeared over their bodies as a new health treatment as therapists say it helps release endorphins or “feel good” chemicals.
so to get the benefits without the calories, women and men are opting for the belgian chocolate body wrap using melted dark chocolate buttons.
center parcs is offering the £49.50 hour-long treatment at its four uk holiday villages.
they claim that it can also help treat skin conditions such as psoriasis and eczema. first the skin is brushed to remove dead cells and then the melted chocolate is mixed with special milk whey before the therapist then spreads the mixture over the whole body.
the client is wrapped in a special blanket containing water to give a floating effect for 20 minutes. jeff norman, 27, assistant manager at the aqua sana center parcs spa at longleat forest, wilts, said: “it promotes a feel of wellbeing and can help with skin conditions.
“you can’t eat the chocolate because of the milk whey. and we don’t recommend you do it at home. it could be very messy.”
