the okinawa churaumi aquarium is the world's second largest aquarium and is located in okinawa, japan. the aquarium is a part of the ocean expo commemorative national government park located in motobu, okinawa. the main tank called the 'kuroshio sea' holds 7,500-cubic meters (1,981,290 gallons) of water and features the world's second largest acrylic glass panel, measuring 8.2 meters by 22.5 meters with a thickness of 60 centimeters.
atlantis also has the 2nd largest collection of marine life in the world. it was dark outside when we walked through the aquarium and since it's open on top and completely lit by the sun, most of the pics are kind of shadowy. some turned out very good though, like this one. i'm not sure what kind of fish they are but they are almost paper thin.
this is another aquarium pic i took that i really like. one of my favs, actually. jellyfish are trippy as hell.
here's a cool pic of a couple seahorses. they totally look like little toys.
moray eels are creepy as hell!
it was all fun and games until he found my two discus tanks ... luckily i only took care of him for a week.
