a businessman meets a beautiful girl and agrees to spend the night with her for $500. so they do.
before he leaves, he tells her that he does not have any cash with him, but he will have his secretary write a check and mail it to her, calling the payment 'rent for apartment'.
on the way to the office he regrets what he has done, realizing that the whole event was not worth the price. so he has his secretary send a check for $250 and enclosed the typed note:
dear madam:
enclosed you will find a check in the amount of $250 for rent of your apartment. i am not sending the amount agreed upon, because when i rented the apartment, i was under the impression that;
1) it had never been occupied 2) that there was plenty of heat 3) that it was small enough to make me feel cozy and at home.
however, i found out that it had been previously occupied, that there wasn't any heat, and that it was entirely too large. upon receipt of the note, the girl immediately returned the check for $250 with the following note:
dear sir,
first of all, i cannot understand how you could expect a beautiful apartment to remain unoccupied indefinitely. as for the heat, there is plenty of it, if you know how to turn it on. regarding the space, the apartment is indeed of regular size, but if you don't have enough furniture to fill it, please don't blame the landlady. please send the rent in full or we will be forced to contact your present landlady.
a young man moved into a new apartment on his own, and went to the lobby to put his name on his mailbox. while there, an attractive young lady came out of the apartment next to the mailboxes wearing a robe.
the boy smiled at the young woman and she started a conversation with him. as they talked, her robe slipped open, and it was obvious that she had nothing else on. the poor kid broke into a sweat trying to maintain eye contact.
after a few minutes, she placed her hand on his arm and said, "let's go to my apartment, i hear someone coming."

flustered and embarrassed, he finally squeaked, "it's got to be your ears." astounded, and a little hurt she asked "my ears? look at these breasts, they are full and 100% natural i work out every day, my butt is firm and solid,look at my skin - no blemishes anywhere.how can you think that the best part of my body is my ears?"
clearing his throat, he stammered "outside, when you said you heard someone coming? that was me."
berlin (reuters) - a german who tried to fix his leaky air mattress blew up his apartment instead, the fire brigade in the western city of duesseldorf said wednesday. the 45-year-old man used tire repair solvent to plug a hole in his airbed and left it overnight. but it blew up when he went to inflate it the next day. "a spark from the electric air pump ignited it," a fire brigade spokesman said. the blast pushed his living room wall into the building's stairwell and caused extensive damage to walls, windows and furniture. fire fighters evacuated the 12-apartment building and a neighboring housing block while they checked for structural damage. the man suffered burns on his arms, while a three-year-old girl suffered first degree burns. source

- not a joke, but funny none the less. canwest news service published: thursday, march 01, 2007 a jury found a man guilty this week of sexual assault and other charges after he walked into the wrong apartment while drunk, rolled into bed with his neighbour and groped her. oscar masi told jurors he thought the woman was his common-law wife, but was found guilty of breaking and entering, intent to commit sexual assault and sexual assault in the oct. 26, 2003, incident. during his trial, masi told court he was even lying on his own side of the bed, but it turned out he was one floor below his apartment. the 37-year-old hairdresser, who has no criminal record, was released on bail until his sentencing date, which has not been set. during trial, it was revealed masi, a refugee from iraq whose father was executed during saddam hussein's regime, was seen drinking heavily at a hotel bar before the incident. masi told the court he doesn't remember the incident. after crawling into bed next to the woman, he fondled her, whispered he loved her and "wanted" her, court was told. when she awoke and realized what was happening, the woman testified she "tucked and rolled" out of her bed, grabbed the phone, crawled inside a closet and frantically called a friend.
