this was a test done to see how smooth it would go, with only 8 of the 16 exits open. there were 853 passengers and 20 crew members. the original plan was for 90 seconds; they made it in 77 seconds. the cabin lights were turned off and the passengers had only the emergency lights to guide them. it was filmed with night vision cameras, plus they did not know which exits would be blocked.
