the beatles playing revolution live on the david frost show in 1968
january 15, 1968 | volume 28, issue 2 photographer: john g. zimmerman on the cover: turia mau, fashion article author: coles phinizy
from a john cleese tv special in 1968 called "how to irritate people".
as many of you already know, charo's real claim-to-fame is her superb flamenco guitar skills. she was trained by andres segovia, but on her first tonight show appearance blurted out "cuchi-cuchi" and shook her breasts - the rest is history. here she is, performing on hollywood palace in 1968. you can clearly see her style evolving - seriously flamenco guitar to start, cuchi-cuchi suggestive dancing to finish, and sammy davis, jr. as some ominous harbinger of cheesey 70's television to come.
song is called astronomy domine(one of my favorites). this was at the kastival (festival in kasterlee) in belgium in 1968. this is with david gilmore and not syd barrett. i got plenty of pf on file if people want more.
