The Battle of Cannae (2/3)

Part 1
Part Two. "August 2, 216 BC near the town of Cannae, southeast Italy. The army of Carthage (located in present-day Tunisia) under Hannibal decisively defeated a numerically superior army of the Roman Republic. It is regarded as one of the greatest tactical feats in military history and, in terms of the numbers killed, the second greatest defeat of Rome." ("This battle took place during The Punic Wars, a series of three wars fought between Rome and Carthage from 264 to 146 BC." Rome was eventually victorious.)
